Does anyone have any advice on parking at Bristol TM to avoid the ridiculous parking charges that now exist there?

Free parking on Clarance Road. I have parked there about 8 times, including 3 times overnight when staying in a hotel before a trip and had no problems.

Water stop at Tiverton Junction too, it was the addition of 5029 that allowed it to take the weight of the 2nd tender before, no such luxuries unaided.

I guess there would be difficulties turning the loco at St.Blazey if the 2nd.tender was used.

Only in that it would need separating first. I assume it has and isolating valve? and I guess Bittern would have to shunt it on and off the table, and then run around it as well. Depending on the track layout at St Blazey, all that might be tricky!

I know it's not going to happen, two tenders, this time. But if what you suggest above did happen, it would certainly have made very interesting and unusual images for future enthusiasts to muse through, of what happened at St.Blazey on a barmy Sunday afternoon in September 2010, say in 75 to 100 years time.

Anyway, certainly looking forward to seeing an A4 returning from The Duchy over the Royal Albert Bridge and steaming up through St.Budeaux, Ferry Road.

    Best regards SteamHawk216.

I am pretty sure it will be single tender as water stops have been provided in the schedule and load limitation over the Devon Banks would loose a coach from any already short train.

Looks likes a problem with time at Exeter on uksteam. RTC say depart Exeter 10:15, (not 10:35 on uksteam) so I guess the times shown for Dawlish Warren are for Exeter, but do we actually stop at Dawlish Warren???

    Thanks!! that's great.

Looking forwards to a good day. Lets hope for a rare unhindered run at Dainton, last few solo runs have suffered signal checks at the foot of the bank.

Should be a dry rail, and hopefuly not warm enough for the grease from the flange Lubricator near the summit to have capilliaried up onto the running surface. :pray2:

Looks like a great trip out on Sunday but 83 minutes for the Devon Blue Ribband Strech between Plymouth and Exeter looks pedestrian to say the least. You could almost walk it in this time!!
