    LMS 'Princess Royal' class, 6201 'Princess Elizabeth will be in charge of UK Railtours 'Clapham Omnibus' tour.

    The steam route is: Crewe, WCML, Carnforth, Clapham, Hellifield, Skipton, Leeds Engine Shed Junction, Normanton, Healey Mills, Hebden Bridge, Todmorden, Manchester Victoria, Newton-le-Willows, Winwick Junction, WCML, Crewe.

    I believe this is around 150+ miles behind 6201.

    Yes, I'm booked on "The Pride of Swindon" that day. Wonder what the timings of the two trains will be at Crewe and Hellifield, will we get to see each other? VT told me to expect about a 7am departure from Tyseley on The Pride of Swindon.

    6201 is currently sidelined awaiting the replacement of a number of large tubes and will not be available for 'The Clapham Omnibus'. The booked job for Steam Dreams to Nottingham on 24 September is cancelled, and 6233 is deputising on their 7 October to Bath Spa and Bristol TM.

    What a shame. UK Railtours have had a lot of bad luck this year. I hope it doesn't put them off running steam tours in future.
