    Ditto Jane,

Thanks for the good news I am in the South West tomorrow and hope to see her.

The last twice i've either not been able to get down or a red diesel has been put on instead.

Hope to see the King from the train as I pass Barton Hill in the morning.

    Thanks again much appreciated.

On time and looking superb emerging from Flax Bouton tunnel at 09:25. 10 chocolate and cream coaches plus support coach. Certainly an improvement on the 'rainbow stock' behind the Deltic to Wales yesterday. That consisted of 1 maroon coach, 2 blood and custards, 3 maroons, 1 Anglian blue, 2 chocolate and creams, 1 maroon, and finally 2 blue and greys. You guessed it ....a Pathfinder tour. <BJ>

A couple of shots from Temple Meads this morning.

Still trying to work out where and why files have 'disappeared' from the SD disk, these two 'emerged'. (It was nearly full, and for some reason the photographs have not been easy to find).

Not so good at Dawlish for the return it just crawled through following the stopper as previously

with the King. Had a good day altogether managed to see all three mainline trips in the South West.

Nice touch for the last TE of 2010, and good way to do a positioning move for 6024 !

I need to flip a coin now, do I do Liskeard to Looe on Sunday and miss the double headed TE or just see the double header, Tamar Devonian on Saturday. Maybe the best is do the Looe trip Sunday morning and then get back to see the last TE of the season around the P&DSR in the afternoon. Why does life give me sooo many choices????:eyebrows:

Going for my first grice of the Torbay tomorrow since riding it 2 years ago... hoping for sun and steam, especially with the double header at the start! Anyone know if it's possible to beat it from Whiteball down to south of Newton Abbot? and does anyone know any spots on the bank just after Newton Abbot?

It is possible but very tight. Problem getting to beyond Newton Abbot is usually the traffic at the end of the N. Abbot bypass, but it might be better now peak season is over. Not many spots on that climb, a bridge just after Aller Junc is maybe the best bet.

Why was Tornado not double headed with the King this morning?Hundreds of disappointed linesiders would like to know why and when the change was decided.

Perhaps apothecary there is/was a practical explanation for this not happening and anyways, this sort of info doesn't have to be made public just to please all the photters, I'm sure it's not disrupted your weekend that much?

Regarding todays Torbay Express, I wonder if the crews today will be trying to break anymore records especially with whats happened to Tornado over the last few months. I find it quite ridiculous really with what happened last weekend with the Duke considering it had been thrashed into the ground on its previous mainline stint and that the support crew allowed it. After all the repairs its had, it's a little strange to say the least. Lessons learned and all that......?
