Thanks guys - Penrith Station always seems to be a good place to see steam working hard, at speed. The guy with the suitcase was a vicar/priest and came and asked me about the train afterwards; think it caught him by surprise somewhat as he was awaiting the next Pendolino south.

The event literally stopped him in his tracks, didn't it?

A lovely section of shots and great bit of editing - really sets the scene before the train appears. And all in 43 seconds. Excellent work.

Good to see a clip where at long last you don't feel sea sick with all the rocking around of the camera.
Others take note how it should be done for once. Some people around that need to read the instruction book and more practice that appear on YouTube etc.

And do you know if you criticise poor vids on youtube you would be surprised at the abuse you get in PMs...

I spent my life in the film industry and show business, mostly behind the camera,Ralph.
About time these people grew up and stopped taking shaky picture and perhaps buy themselves a tripod, that's if they don't trip over it...!
    Back to 6233.

Thanks Richard, Chris and Aperture. The guy in shot had got under my skin actually as he was wandering along the platform edge, right alone my line of sight, presumably to ask me what I was waiting for. My 'if looks could kill' stare must have done the trick as he turned around and wandered back just before 6233 appeared.
