Think back to last week and NR's nervousness is understandable.
As for it being a 37...........

Having just read the thread on the Hadrian I can understand then that there might be a possibility, I just hope that as it's a different route from the Scot's tour, that the chance is less, unless if someone knows NR are nervous, on the what if scenario's, "how can a rescue engine do a wrong road move etc, timetable disruption".

I doubt there will be a coach I, so 9 would be correct.

Since it has dining there will also be the kitchen car which is not included in the lettering.

Does anyone know why there is never a coach I on tours? Even with 9 or more passenger coaches it is always missed out on the tours I have done. Shame I will miss this but just the usual clash us regulars have to put up with.

The kitchen on the Vintage Trains set is also a passenger carrying vehicle, so it will have a coach letter.

The letter I is not used in lots of identification systems to avoid confusion with the digit 1. It wouldn't be a problem with coach lettering, but that's just the convention (although I think CrossCountry do use I on Voyagers)

It's that kind of loading to a Loco's limits which makes NR twitchy about insisting on one of those boxes you all despise on the rear, with an unfamiliar loco/load/route combination an error margin is only prudent, also remember a Castle is only a 7P at the end of the day so comparing it to any 8P Pacifics is like chalk and cheese, a Jubilee or Scot is more comparable, while im sure it could take more over the S&C at a slow slogging rate, theres a dash down the WCML afterwards requiring fast running that has to be considered.

Morning everyone. We're at Crewe on time, lovely clear morning, sun just rose over misty countryside, very nice. Green 47 D1755 is on the front till Hellifield.
