    Great news - I didn't expect such rapid progress to Duffield, after reaching Idridgehay recently. They have had to be very patient and sticking at it has brought its reward.

    I travelled on the line on an excursion in late May 1985 with a Sprinter; shall look forward to doing this again on a steam then.
