I believe she obtained a new 7 year ticket last year. It'll be great if she can retake her place as queen of Southern railtours before Christmas.

There's also a suggestion that 70000 will have a light test on Wed 9th, followed by a loaded test on the Carnforth circuit, so might that be the trip on 10th? I guess we'll have to wait and see what noelist and his chums spot on Wednesday night ;-)

It is mentioned here, post #146

Light engine Crewe - Warrington - Crewe on the 9th.
Loaded test run north to Carnforth on the 10th, back south to Crewe (not sure whether loaded or not) on the 11th.
The only thing I know time wise for the loaded run is there is a Carnforth - Crewe stock move leaving Carnforth at around 06:00 with coaches for the Brit to be tested with.

I hope to be out for the light and loaded tests of 70000 if all goes to plan with a couple of shift swops at work. I'm not sure about Tangmere though if that is on Thursday the 11th.

Hope 34067 is back soon then we can have 3 Bulleids on the mainline next year. If she is fit then I may see her on the Bath and Bristol from Haywards Heath in December.

Nowt wrong with that. I think it's a common courtesy to spell someone's name correctly whether they are alive or not. Would you write a letter to the current Bulleid family and spell their name incorrectly? I'm sure you'd get miffed if people habitually wrote Broonel instead of Brunel.

Shall we not start the grammar/spelling argument again and get back to 34067?

One may expect to find his name spelt wrongly, in say, the Sun newspaper.......but on a forum of railfans, it's pretty dire to get his name wrong!!

If people can't get the niceties of a bit of spelling correct, then you know to double check their historic or technical pronouncements too - its all a matter of care and checking.

I'm not perfect, but I continually back check and double check, but no-one can proof read their own scribblings completely.

However, wrong case,"could of" etc - sorry - back to school time!

So I guess there's not very much hope of Tangmere making its RYTC bookings on the 25th and 27th November. I see Tornado's busy on the 25th, I wonder what they'll get to do it? Does WCRC drive the Duke?
