Just booked on this run using the discount prices. Plenty of seats left. Surprised it hasn't filled up a bit better since SD have offered cheaper prices. It was 79.50 standard class but now regular passengers and those on the e-mail list can go for 59.00 each in standard. Should be a good day and a moving one with the stop outside Waterloo for the 2 minute silence. Noticed that some of the provisional times on the SD site have been changed or disappeared though. Hope they don't change it too much.

Will, on the letter it says that passengers can get off at Kensington Olympia to get back to Clapham and make connections with their trains. I just had to check if we could get back from Clapham Jct to Aldershot and there are a few trains. You might want to check the ones going to Pompey at that time of day though. The train is going back into Victoria due to "Operational problems".

I hesitate to ask the question, but can anyone comment on whether this one is likely to have a box on the back,or, horrrors behind Tornado.seem to recall reading in another thread that DBS now preferred to have the box behind the loco?

It'll need a something to tug it out of Norwich. I remember when I went with the Black 5 in the summer it was delayed returning from servicing, according to one of the stewards, because control didn't want the train to be propelled in station limits

Will this train pass through Stratford Station or will it go along the line passes under the Olympic Village?

The letter states that the train will no longer be calling at Stratford but don't know if this means we are going a different route.

I am hoping to photograph it since I work in Stratford.I have just got to work out where?
It might pass through platform 12, and might not be able to stop there due to lack of time before the next Broxbourne services terminates there. I have to check the timetable.

The times do not clarify which of the 2 ways it could take, since it would pass both the junctions shown. Stratford could have been omited because it does not stop there. A Broxbourne service arrives at 12.05 which would use platform 12. It could therefore pass through plattform 12 before this service arrives.

I believe it runs from Lea Jc to Temple Mills East Jc direct, and not via Stratford.

The Pause at Imperial Wharf for the two minutes silence. Does anyone know if the loco will

stop on the bridge or the station?

Left on time, 13 coaches no diesel. The earlier problems, reported on Teletext, in the Broxbourne area seem to have been resolved.
