The Cathedrals Express, 25 November; 60163 KX - York and return.

On the return I see she is allowed 18 minutes from Colton Jn to Temple Hirst Jn.
Does anyone know if that means she is routed via Church Fenton and Gascoigne Wood?

 

Just on the outward via Gas Wood i believe.

Fcc failed at Abbots Ripton. Trains in ques. Expect delays. Will keep you dated.

 

I have seen this running slightly late this morning at Wood Green at 08:31 on the slow 60163 load 13 Riviera trains set and no assistance.Access at KX for the empty stock was a problem this morning so there was a late departure.

 

Well,its timed via Gas Wood outward and via the main on the return. Can't tell you what the signallers will do mind!

The FCC failure was on the up so most early morning down trains not affected. After late arrival of ecs at KGX, 60163 was around 11 minutes late departing. Had recouped a couple of these by the time it passed me north of Sandy.

 

Departed Peterborough 10 late but routed into the yard. This isn't on the original schedule so wondering why. Possibly the Holme water stop was omitted and there has been a change of plan.

 

Just left peterborough but now going into west yard for water as holme needed for single line working. As i dispatched z82 from peterborough some idiot taking pic at front as train moves off he then chooses walk down the platform then open the door and jump on it as train was moving! Forms i gotta fill in now. Thanks

Yes running about twenty minutes down 60163 pased me in fine style at Barrell Hill foot crossing just south of the old Crow Park station near Newark.

There would appear to be a problem after turning off the ECML at Hambleton, it came to a standstill and so far doesn't seem to have got going again.

 

I'm told she has arrived York at 1525.

 

Yes passed copmanthorpe about 15.20. Was about to die of the cold though...

Good job it didnt come straight around the curve at hambleton because when it first arrived there was a blizzard!
