Does anyone know the line speed allowed between Grosmont and Whitby for NYMR trains?

IIRC it's 25 or 30 mph between Grosmont and Whitby while between Grosmont and Battersby it's 45mph.

acorb is basically correct - which is to say it is the normal maximum speed of the Esk Valley branch throughout the sections NYMR can work. Most normal trains between Grosmont and Whitby run limited to 25 mph to reduce the stewarding requirement for slam door stock, but the maximum speed on this stretch is 30 mph and with a full compliment of door stewards this can be operated (this is one of the ways to pick up lost time - the most effective is to top and tail and it cuts the turnround at Whitby from 20+ minutes to around 6 or 7!)
