    Ah thanks for that. The announcements were quite amusing. They started off by saying "the steam charter to Frent" and then later got it right by saying it was going to Frant. Also said there was "a defective train" followed later by a "blockage at Haslemere."

    From what I have heard in the past, NR will claim for every thing possible but a lot of delays are disputed and the final figure can be a lot less. I did hear of one case when they put forward a claim, only to have it pointed out that the reason for the steam charter leaving the station late, was because it could not get into the station to collect the passengers because of a points failure.
