Just had confirmation for these two runs, as David says 21st is cancelled due to weather conditions, but the Wednesday run is still on with the motive power now confirmed as 44932 and 35028.

Wow, great stuff. Can anyone recommend any good video shoot positions between Orpington and Sevenoaks? That looks about the best area for me to get to from Berkshire. Thanks!

I did Orpington station last week with 60163 in patches of snow, may try again if I can get there.

Clan Line and 44932. Strange and interesting combination. If that does happen I look forward to seeing some pictures. Will the tour be limited to 60mph because of the 5 or will it go faster or slower.

Well I've seen pictures of Jubilees on the Brigton line but don't know about Kent might be close to get it to fit

Jubilees were officially banned from BR (S) regions during the 1960's but at least one Jub did make it down this way. My Dad photted Anson on the 20/6/64 at Eastbourne Shed. http://david422.fotopic.net/p66219830.html

And to follow up there's a photo of Anson in the new book Southern Region Memories by JJ Smith taken at Purley Oaks en-route to Willesden. Having arrived at Eastbourne on 19/6/64 with a train from the LMR it was used on local duties until failing on 21/6/64, subsequently being impounded by Brighton Shed. I bought this book for my Dad this Xmas at the Bluebell shop and I'd definately recommend it, there's some superb black & white images including some real rareties such as O1 no.31430 piloting 34090 chimney to chimney for the climb to Guston Tunnel up Martin Mill Bank.

Interesting pairing for Wednesday! A shame I can't have any more time off. Hope the tour goes well.

Just because the VSOE and Clan Line's other tours recently have been DBS-crewed workings, doesn't mean there's any prohibition on her working on WCRC tours when the occassion arises.

Oh Sorry to be simple and ask silly questions, I didn't know WCRC were able to run 35028!

This is great news! I'm booked on this in premier dining. At first I wasn't all that bothered by what was hauling the train but now 35028 is booked I have to admit I'm rather excited! I'm in coach A so I'm hoping that we're at the front. Lets just hope no more snow falls!

All main line steam locos are usually registered for both WCR and DBS (in the latter case, at least, the air-braked ones); whether the operators wish to operate the individual locomotives or the owners wish to offer their locos for specific trains is a matter of agreement/audit between the parties involved.

We are pleased that MNLPS has agreed to help Steam Dreams out, on Wednesday - it has been a difficult week but we plough on.

What a tour there is now. A fantastic pairing and great to see everybody working together. Has to be applauded very much so.

35028 on the likely green set will be a superb present for many linesiders before christmas!!

Try Chelsfield. They should be working hard on their way up to Polhill Tunnel. I may join you there!
