Will definately be out for this one! Can anyone recommend any good locations for the down trip in the Tonbridge area??

I have a couple of ideas, theres an over bridge near Five Oak Green, or Hildenborough station, but I'd quite like to get them at the latter on the up trip.

I think it was Anson I've seen pictures of on the Brighton line.

As was said earlier will be good to see 35028 back in Kent again. It was to Canterbury that I had my first mainline tour and that was with 35028.

My "normally reliable sources" suggest 44932 will most likely be the train engine with Clan Line as pilot. The plan (late last night) was that a DL will bring stock from Southall with 44932 on rear, 35028 will follow light from Stewarts Lane and couple onto what will have become the front of the train. As always, may be subject to last minute changes and the inevitable processes of Chinese whispers...

Makes more sense than Clan Line running all the way over to Southall and then back into central London.

That makes sense. The Tour starts from Victoria so 35028 will only have to come up from Stwarts Lane which isn't far away. As Matt said it makes more sense than sending 35028 to Southall and back again. Feel quite excited even though I'm not going to be able to see this.

Have a look at Harringe Lane Bridge, Sellindge, where the road crosses over both the main Line and HS1. You might get lucky (or otherwise depending on your view of things) and catch a Eurostar at the same time.

And the original red nameplates, reserved for special occasions, rather than the work-a-day black ones which are replicas. I guess there probably wasn't time (or maybe not enough hands) to fit the full Golden Arrow regalia this time.
