Train On Line - Updates

Rather than keep creating a new thread every time I've got something new to publish, I'm going to start one big rolling thread.

I was at the GC for their gala this weekend. I have a Lineside Permit and turned up at Loughborough to use it for the first time on Saturday morning. I arrived at 9am and found that there were no Hi-Vis vests available, which I found quite incredible. As you can't (officially) go lineside without a GC numbered HV it seemed very poor management not to have enough HV vests on, what I assume, is one of the busier weekends of the year for the railway. Surely for every one LP sold another HV is ordered to accommodate the new person?

Anyway, I went to a bridge south of Quorn and Woodhouse and spend Saturday morning there (I spent Saturday afternoon searching Loughborough for a shop that might sell orange HV gear). I was there Sunday morning again before heading home. On Saturday morning I spoke to a couple of lineside stewards (Simon Bold/Boulton/Bolford, I didn't catch his second name or that of his colleague) about my HV situation. They were very helpful and attempted to arrange a solution, which didn't work, but I was appreciative of their efforts.

I uploaded my stuff last night and was pretty disappointed with that fotopic has done to them, they're honestly not as out-of-focus as they've made them look!

I've uploaded the same photographs to my Flickr stream, there is a massive gap in quality so I may choose Flickr over fotopic now. The stream link is here:
