Does anyone have any photographs of the business end of a Bulleid Steam Reverser i.e. the unit under the cladding?

Was the reverser unit specifically designed for the Bulleid Pacifics or was the design taken from another class of locomotive?

    Thanks once again.

This link has already been posted in the Bulleid chain driven valve gear thread, but here it is again.

Thanks Buseng, I should have planned better and done the chain driven valve gear and steam reverser as one thread!. I have that diagram but would very much like some photographs of an actual unit as well. I have just spoken to someone from the Bulleid Society so hopefully something will materialize, if so I will post it.

The Q1 also had a steam reverser, don't forget, which is a bit more accessible if you go for a look at York

HAV Bulleid writes in his book:

And in DW Winkworth's book, he quotes an engineman thus:

I suggest that it is a good bet that the above mentioned engineman didn't have to maintain them, let alone work in the oil bath!

Original Bulleid valve gear is quite easy to maintain, so long as you are thin! Oh, and you make sure that water doesn't get in the sump oil by any of the usual means: rain, leaking injector delivery pipes or blowing inside cylinder piston rod gland.
Equally, the steam reverser is reliable if you maintain it, like changing the piston seals in the oil cylinder at the first sign of trouble.
