    Great news on the Beamish Transport News blog;

    I like the British Rail 'arrows' logo and number on the right hand side!

    The Y7 is complete and ready to go travelling. By the end of next week it will be back in NER territory at Beamish.

    Great news, let's hope that it makes the short journey to Tanfield for the September Giants of Industry gala.

    And don't forget there's an ex-NER class H about to make its comeback in Leeds. Class H 1310 is rapidly coming together at Moor Road and should be in steam for the 2011 season. This overhaul has seen the locomotive re-converted back to her original 1891 cab size by the removal of the rearwards extension put there in colliery days. For the uninitiated amongst you, the NER class H was classified Y7 by the LNER, who built a second batch of these locos, 8088 being one of them!
