Question on some old Steam Railway events from 1993-2005,

1) The Lakeside and Haverthwaite steam Railway around 1991. I have a photo of two tank engines with Thomas the Tank engine faces on, in front of the Locoshed at Haverthwaite . An 0-6-0 in Green could be an Austerity class and 0-4-0 in red. They are not Repulse or Cumbria. In a photo next to the Repulse there is a engine not painted awaiting restortionation at Haverthwaite as well.

2) Did anyone go to the Railway at war weekend in 1999 and 2003 at the East Lancashire Railways and have a log plus anything seen on the journey to Bury from Rawtenstall.

3) I am also looking for the dates that Embsay and Bolton Abbey Railway held Railway at War events between 2001-2005.

4) Does anyone have a list of engines including shunters and diesels at Strathspey Steam Railway in the summer of 1993 Jul/Aug.

5) Finally, Brookside Garden centre in Poyton, Macclesfield has a tank engine called KATIE on static display. What was the date when she arrive at the Garden Centre.

The two engines that you enquire about at haverthwaite are , 0-4-0ST Askham Hall , Avonside : no1772/ 1917 , which went to Haig colliery , now at Threlkeld mining musuem. the other is
0-4-0ST Alexandra, Andrew Barclay : no929/ 1902 , which went on to be sold by preston steam services in Kent, location unknown .

Warspite, I have managed to scan a photo of the two engines I I'm referring to. I thought the one on the left might be a 0-6-0st Austerity.

Warspite, Just come across a photo on the net of the same photo I took back in 1991, barring my wife. It confirms the Green one is what you said Askham Hall 0-4-0st and not a 0-6-0st Austerity.

I now have another photo that I have scanned from Strathspey Railway in 1993 of two steam shunters and one diesel that I hope someone can identify.

 

Re: the wartime / 1940s event dates at Embsay. To my knowledge they have always been the second weekend in September. If I come across anything that deviates from that I'll post it here...

 

Further to previous post, one event was one week later, ie the third weekend in September. However, I have not been able to find which year this was!
