Does anyone know the whereabouts of one of the old BR style wheeled wheelchair ramps that might be available for transfer to the Middleton Railway/Drewry Car RDB998901 in Leeds please? I don't know if they are still in use on the national network or not or if they have all been superseded by the modern alloy versions? I'm willing to make a donation in return for one if neccessary and less than perfect condition is acceptable as it will need adapting for use with RDB998901 anyway.

    Thanks in advance

I assume you mean the old style yellow wheel chair ramps. If so I have not seen them for quite a while.
Would it not be easier to use a ramp designed to be carried on the vehicle? When FGW got rid of the Mk2 BSO's I am fairly sure that the wheelchair ramps went with them. If you think this idea may be worth following up, I would recommend asking if Knights Rail are likely to break up any BSO's, and if they still have their ramps on them.

Mark, yup, the yellow wheeled ones with handles. I'd prefer one of those but I'm prepared to go for a more modern alloy version if neccessary. Anyone got one stuck in a dark corner somewhere please? There's none at Leeds City apparently...
