Precisely, there is also one through Acton Bridge but embedding is not allowed on this one.

Pity he started shooting a bit late but even so very impressive, and note the number of people on the platform.

I think you will find the official speed was 75 in both cases, and southbound at Warrington we stopped, maybe you mean Wigan....

I think you mean Wigan - speed through Warrington was 0mph! I have some video of the S&C and Langho climbs, as well as tearing back through Wigan. Still a lot of noise from back in the 4th coach!

Thanks for posting up the onboard video, I have had problems trying to upload the outward run with onboard footage from Lancaster and the climb of Shap so at present I am uploading part 2 the return run. At the rate it's going it may be ready by tomorrow morning...

I know there are a number of members on here who are part of the footplate, support and train crew, how were things from the sharp end on the day?

    Thanks, Neil.

Well that was a day and a half! All in all an excellent day, despite a few water-hurdles. Remember, if it was easy, everyone would do it!
As JS mentioned the wreath was for Pat - all our best wishes to Ray. Thoughts for Thursday.
Apart from a couple of slips northbound, Lizzie didn't put a foot wrong - the 6201 Society should be proud of her performance and the way she was turned out - I haven't seen her look better.
For the record, the Legend was swinging the shovel southbound! Not only did he make a dent in the coal, but he dinged a perfectly good shovel as well.
The water situation at Hellified was unfortunate. The points issue only compounded the problem – we probably would have been ok and made up the time.

A big thanks to all who came with us and those who turned out to take pics and give us a wave.

Gentlemen, great to meet you and you are welcome to the Bacon Rolls – anytime!

See everyone next Saturday for a Hall and a Castle to see a King!

So that's where you were hiding.....not that anyone noticed your absence on the footplate.
