Marcia's first job on Saturday will probably be to tow a USA Tank up Tenterden Bank.....! Then, if the rumour mill is correct, it will be coupled to a brake van for rides at Tenterden Town station. Possibility of some "rare mileage"??

I would love to see this working. I remember seeing Quainton's "Flying Bufferbeam" perform on tour years ago.

Unfortunately I shall have to be at work on both the Sat & Sun (the joys of working in a service industry) so I'll need to wait for the next performance

A couple of pictures of Marcia's first public outing. With her chime whistle, it sounded like an A4 was coming up the bank!

you should have heard her on thursday, we were waiting for her and then that beautiful chime its the only engine that looks smaller than a brake van, but sounds like an express engine

Unfortunately I wasn't able to get to the Gala (in hospital) but it's good to know that Marcia is now in working order again.

Last time I saw her in action must have been 30 years ago at one of the 'Steam at Bodiam' events put on around that period.

Some earlier photos (1977-81) of mine on Flickr - most at Bodiam but one at Tenterden Town:
