NOT looked after at all by MHR man, looked after by Roland Kennington .......100%,and to call it just a coat of paint shows a total lack of knowledge of whats involved in the transformation and an insult to those involved.Do you seriously think there's no mechanical work been carried out? If so take another look at the picture and see if you can see whats missing.............clue.........they join the wheels together !!!!
As for "the other two engines" , that's something that will never appear in public, too many people would apear with poo on their face, and not at Southall either.CASE CLOSED!!!

Well I think the paint job looks fantastic and has obviously had a lot of attention receiving that standard of finish. People have no idea what is required to do that, if you don't get the preparation right you're on a loser. I have restored my classic bikes and people ask how on earth do you get that finish?.............the reply is always....."hard work" Can't wait to see it in the flesh.......well done!

A good friend of mine works on 60019 and I know for a fact that a lot of work has gone on into not only getting the loco ready for her forthcoming railtours but getting her ready soon enough for the repaint to take place. As you rightly say, anyone who thinks otherwise is a fool.

I am very glad to have been proved wrong as I thought it was an April fool. Nice to see a working A4 back in these colours again. She looks grand in that guise and I hope to see her down south later in the year (read elsewhere she is staying like this for three years).

S'funny isn't it - but full skirts just doesn't do it for me. Yes - they were designed that way and the mirror finish on the paint job tells its own tale - but I like what I like.
    ,
Now - if in three years time we could have Silver Jubilee grey and follow that with apple green - now you really would be talking!
