    I'd read that it was a Land Rover but a quick Google has just found an unofficial page saying it was a Morris Commercial chassis. Tack your pick it seems.

    I picked up a leaflet a few years ago at Didcot showing a Broad gauge engine house and carriage shed - it was to house either Fire Fly and it's carriages, or Fire Fly and Iron Duke at the same time - is this still planned to go ahead?

    I believe it is still planned but it was always intended to only proceed once the lease on the site was a more realistic length. Now that a much longer lease has been offered, and once the £100k premium on the lease has been paid, then I guess funding can be freed for this project. To a degree its not so vital whilst Firefly and its carriages can fit into the transfer shed - Iron Duke will need to find room in the works first.
