    Rightly or wrongly, it's clear that those who run the railway and work on the railway take a risk averse view of people near the track. I'm pretty certain that, for example, if it was given the legal opportunity to do so, NR would remove all foot crossings on high speed (e.g. ECML) routes. So I would have thought that everyone who reads these posts would just choose somewhere that poses absolutely no risk or ambiguity for their photos or vids. What's the point in doing something different?

    I watched the video when I got back in from work. I think the first location looks a bit dodgy - it seems very close to the adjacent line (ie not the line 35028 is running on). I'm not sure the 2nd location is particularly bad.
