Grange with Parcels, Manors are light
    Churchward Leading, Stanier leaving
    Swindon is the perfect site

Damn can't think of any. Just the North Star, Lode Star and Evening Star pointing the way to Didcot.

Technically, no one knows how many 'Magi' visited Jesus. There were three different gifts and so history simplistically assumes they each carried one. Also they weren't Kings. 'Magi' is Greek for an astrologer, and such folks were considered clever at the time, hence 'Wise Men'. Anyway, I'll shut up now before this becomes as bad as a livery debate!!

Oh, and yes, it will be super to see them all together, and 23 & 24 passing on the main line. Double-header over the Devon banks has to be top of my list too!

Hope this happens in September. The mention of the ML trip on 1st March next year looks interesting. I bet one is for SD (6024) and the other RTC (6023).

I think it will be 6023 -SD, and 6024 Pathfinder or Torbay Express ( Since 6024 is usually based over winter on the WSR, and that it more frequently runs for these 2 companies)

I believe this is also in the planning stage for the early part of 2012 before 6024's boiler ticket expires but as yet there are no guarantees that either this or the Cardiff - Paddington "passing" specials will happen.

  8. Major work needed on the metre there, old chap. I'd stick to railways, if I were you :yo:

One wonders whether someone putting it into the public domain before it was signed and sealed has had something to do with it ?

It might help if the "sources" at Didcot were slightly more informed than the carriage shed cat! As far as I can see all this 6000 coming and not coming is merely the figment of someones imagination looking to drive traffic to their online news site!

At the two Kings event a guy was talking about 6000 and said it wouldn't leave York as it was damaged when being moved between the Swindon and York museums.

Yes, and to put it mildly, both Didcot and Swindon are none too chuffed. Especially as one of the releases says that 6023 is going to the North Norfolk Railway rather than the Mid Norfolk...

Also not true I'm afraid, nothing wrong with 6000 on its arrival at York, sorry.

OK, on the assumption that 6000 won't be moving from York in the foreseeable future, the only way to get all three together is to bring 6023 and 6024 to the NRM. Isn't the NRM planning a big festival next May? Would that be a suitable occassion? I'm not sure whether 6024 will still be "in ticket" by then. I know she was granted an extension a month or two back, but not sure how long for.

Out of ticket by then I'm afraid.

Thanks for the facts Anthony. There were rather a lot of rumours flying around at that event about 6000!
