    Noticed the T/T changed again, but noticed some conflictions.

    Sunday the Warship works the 1110 off Kidder, but then its next working is the 1520 off Kidder. So is the 1110 the Warship or Western?
    Also, 42968 has now become 46443, yet it has the Steam/Diesel DH 'Star' symbol. Is it the Ivatt on its own or will the 20 be DH with it like Fri & Sat?

    1110 is the 800, on arrival at BH the 52 works the return to Kiddy with the 800 on the rear so it is position for the 1520 to BH, the 52 then returns on the 1700 ex Kiddy.

    Severn Valley Railway
    1960’s event
    20th/21st/22nd May 2011

    With the unfortunate situation of Class 50 – D444 not being available, the Enthusiasts Events committee have decided to replace the Class 50 with a visiting diesel.

    We are pleased to announce Class 26 - D5310 will be on loan courtesy of the Llangollen Diesel Group.

    The Class 26 will be running all 3 days on the below paths.

    Friday & Saturday

    09.20 & 13.20 Kidderminster Departures
    11.35 & 15.45 Bridgnorth Departures

    Sunday

    09.40 & 13.40 Kidderminster Departures
    11.55 & 16.05 Bridgnorth Departures


    We would like to thank Llangollen Diesel Group for there assistance and also wish the Fifty Fund the best in getting D444 ready for mainline running.

    Seemed? Was there some doubt? Was the tender of 44871 facing south while the locomotive faced north? ;)

    Both should be facing north. They arrived pointing towards Bridgnorth and 44871 was facing north on Sunday when it worked the dining train.

    No need to be sarcastic is there?

    I think the point Matt was making was that although both faced north they could both be turned before the event. No need to belittle someone for making this point as in yes they face north at the moment but they could be turned before the event.

    Remember, Leander arrived facing north but was turned to face south for the ASG.

    Just to confuse things there is no north and south on the railway rather east and west and if an engine is to depart from the railway right way round heading north then the engine must in fact face south to head for the north over the national network. Think about it Kiddie is north of Worcester but south end of our railway...............

    Oh I know you were joking sorry if it read like I was having a go. My main point was that to head north right way round the locos need ro face south on the railway. Looking back at my post though it did look as if I was having a go when it was meant in a light hearted way!!! Just wish things could read as you think them! Should of added more excalimation marks LOL!!!!

    And the question I havent seen asked is which way does D5310 face? North or south?!!!

    The SVR website publicity says that the Black 5's will be supplemented from the SVR resident LMS fleet, which at present means "46443". However the Ivatt 43106 has apparently been out on trials, so maybe there will be a surprise?

    --here's hoping anyway.
