Anyone on this tour? I will be working the bar!

The GPS tracker will be live for members subscribing to that tour, is there anyone out there who is on the tour, and can provide updates.

I too plan to be out photographing the tour today.

I'm going to try and get a shot somewhere near the old Kearsney loop/triangle. A location where, along with Blackbrook Bridge near Bickley, my steam loco hobby was started early in 1950. Not sure there is a clear shot of the junction, but I'll go and have a look anyway.

Decided not to follow Ollie on the return leg from Faversham.

But did enjoy watching the Brit today. Lovely storming climb up from Dover and through Kearsney. Nice little turn of speed though Teynham, soon after the Faversham re-start. And some nice views on the Sheppey Bridge.

It was a bit crowded down at Kearsney as well! I think about 40 or so people. Most locals by the look of it.

My efforts from the day, up to Sheppey, when I had to leave.

First two at Kearsney, then Teynham, and finally two at the Sheppey Bridge.

    Thanks Ralph.

A Brit in Kent does something for me! Memories of 70004 and 70014 on the Golden Arrow a few decades ago..................

Although not on the sections where I photographed 70013 of course.

Nice shots Bryan, especially that one of it being pulled onto the bridge.

Ollie made a lovely sound as it accelerated through Shortlands last night :)

    Dan

Cromwell looked and sounded great all day and performed excellently - a real credit to the 5305LA team and the West Coast crews.

    Great to see the photographs.

Thanks to Admin et al for pulling pints all day - it's a tough job but someone had to do it!

I guess you were on board. Certainly looked like it was a good train to have been on. Lovely noise climbing out of Dover. And though I wasn't too well and had to abandon the day at Sheppey, I still heard Ollie climbing through West Malling that evening. Left my bedroom window wide open for that, and the wind was in the right direction.

So if you or anyone else here on board the train wants any of my photos as a memory of the day as it looked from the lineside, (just for your own personal collections please), feel free to download them from here.

I was recording sound at West Malling and by golly did Ollie sound good. Also did sound on the 1 in 60 climb to Bearsted and near the top of the climb out of Sittingbourne. At the latter location the 37 on the back was shoving hard but the stentorian exhaust from 70013 just about drowned it out.
