    Cracking video there, Steve. That was myself (woolly hat) and David (cap and glasses) you were talking to on the way back down from Blea Moor to Ribblehead. We went to Lowgill/Beckfoot/Grayrigg for the return. Photos to come...

    Something similar happened to me last August, videoing The Fellsman from the hillside at the north end of Settle town. Leander was just coming out onto the clearest part of the embankment, and the boiler barrel was about to glint, when a grubby 67 and a train of cement tankers came the other way! Hey-ho, it's the way of the world, and one day the freight train will be as historic as The Fellsman. However, I doubt I'll ever be on that hillside in such good weather again, with a crimson lake Jubilee passing with a rake of maroon coaches.

    (BTW, this episode has made it onto the latest Steam Age Pictures disc, "Fells & Highlands", if you want to share my pain ;-) )
