This carriage is listed on the VCT website and is currently under restoration at Newton-on-Ouse (previously located at Elvington and Kanpton near Malton). I wondered if anyone had information on progress or photographs. I don't know whom owns it and the work being done does not seem to be publicised anywhere. I believe it has been put on a GE underframe that came from the Great Yorkshire RPS at Starbeck.
As a boy I remember seeing this clerestory body in a caravan park between Scaborough and Filey. It was visible from the road from the top deck of the bus and I think it was painted in chocolate and cream.

i remember carriages near the royal oak railway crossing on moor road. there was more than one, but i have never been able to find any photos of them. if the tide was in you used to cut through the caravan park to get back to primrose valley from filey. this was back in the 70s
