SVR crews are in for a treat as 92212 is an absolutely superb locomotive. Please be kind to her and send her back to us in good nick at the end of the summer as she is much loved at Ropley.

I say you can't beat the sight of a 9F with BR's largest capacity tender attached (as per 92212). Puts most other things in the shade in terms of sheer size...

Looks like a BR1B to me. What is the water and coal capacity? I thought that the Duke's tender had the highest capacity for both water & coal.

    Duke's tender is off 92134 isnt it ?, a net search suggests its a BR1D, 4750 gallon.

This link was kind of interesting:

Correct. The tender off 92134 was acquired. However, the tender tank was converted to a BR1E 4725 gall water capacity and 10 tons of coal. It was also fitted with a coal pusher.

Not quite in service yet. Broken spring found, replacement spring en-route from Mid-Hants to SVR.

Yes, I meant to say 'BR tender with the highest water capacity'. Either way, it's big!

Apparently the operating agreement with MHR has finished (i.e. they could use it for so many years and then it would move away like 60019). Can't say I believe it though at the moment unless others know a little more............

This is what I heard , and from a very good authority too.

I feel that this is either a wind up or just posting from hearsay from Green Five, of which neither is acceptable behaviour IMHO.
