I have had this bookmarked for some considerable time and just clicked to read the newsletter. Last week it sent me round in circles saying it was a pdf file which did not appear, and this week there appear to be non-responsive links to the newsletter.

Why has it suddenly got complicated to read this excellent newsletter? Anyone else missing reading it?

From what I can tell you have to be registered on Yahoo groups and join the group to access the members files or you can send a blank email to GCR-Announce-subscribe@yahoogroups.com and then receive the emails with attachments.

I've had the same troubles and I was very dissapointed at not being able to read the newsletter. If you already have a yahoo account it is fairly easy to sort out though - just do what was mentioned in the previous post.

It may have been a bit of a pain to access, but the PDF newsletter is an excellent production in my opinion, if only more railways could find the resources to do likewise.

Does seem a backward step, I am not/never have been registered with yahoo groups.

Agreed, is an excellent weekly update on the GCR. Just a pity it has become more difficult to access. Why change something that was working ok?....

I agree it was a bit of a pain to set up access via Yahoo Groups at the time - but it was half an hour at most (whilst I was messing around and watching TV so it wasn't that bad really). At least you don't have to set yourself up a Yahoo email address for the purpouse - I just sign in via Google.

Its a shame about the access issues, hopefully the powers that be will correct that and produce a text only version again. On balance though I am glad I signed up for the PDF version as it is much higher quality and comes with the advantage that it now has pictures.

That was years ago under the Editorship of Nigel Harris, it is all different now.

Things appear to be back to normal now, I can just click on my bookmarked link, and read the text version of the newsletter. No logging in or signing up to anything. Good!
