    Collapsed scheme.
Most items are from France. Some also from Spain, all bought in the 90s and around 2000. Both steam loco were restored simultaneously in 2000.

Just think what you could do with the railbike and that PUCH air cooled engine.

    Rail land speed attempt anyone?

One wonders how long the boiler certificates of the steamers have left to run? (Assuming they have something similar in Spain.)

If they were restored in about 2000, then UK authorities would presumably require at least boiler work if not already done in the last year or so.
Mind you, they do look interesting machines!

Well I didn't win the euro lottery and it is now up to £131 Million pounds (you could rebuild the whole of the L&B and still have change) I do hope they find a home, but I think at the moment they may not be to many people with the money available to purchase them, but I could be wrong.

Did the fellbahn find a new owner that was for sale on here the other week?

I think there is much misunderstanding on the requirements of the boiler inspection in this country (the UK).

In terms of timescales a cold and hot inspection is required at 14 months intervals max, and a hydraulic at 10 year intervals max. These are pretty much fixed and defined in law.

Everything else is based on the boilers agreed schedule of examination which needs to be agreed with a competent person (usually the 'boiler inspector).

Consequently all boilers are inspected on physical condition only, which will be based on the use its had and the care its recieved.

There is a HSE document that appears to force (by recommendation) rail boilers to have new tubes at 10 year intervals, though this thankfully it is not universally adopted in non rail applications.

The tubes in my boiler have been there since 1987 and look like they were fitted yesterday on the water side. I have a hot test this afternoon as it so happens.

Consequently any potential buyers would be well advised to take a competent person to give them advice on the condition of the boilers. The fact that they were last rebiuit in 2000 is no indicator of the condition of them now. For all we know they may be better than a boiler rebuilt by a muppet last year.

    Hello,

There are still some items left to be sold.
e.g. one 1906 Jung steam loco (21.000 Euro), some working Deutz and Decauville diesel locomotives and a lot of wagons, spare parts and track material.

You find the current list on:

Please contact me (philipp@kurasch.de) for more information.

    Regards
    Philipp
