    Very briefly (I'm sure others can narrow this down a little more):

    1 is a Caley 2F.
    2 is a Midland class 1P 0-4-4T
    3 is an LNWR class 2F
    4 is another LNWR class 2F
    5 is not LMS it's an ex-LNER class Y11

    Heritage Railway Volunteer:
    No I do not currently volunteer
    15099 was a Y11 class, built by the "Motor Rail and Tram Car Company" in the 1920's. Petrol engine, Chain driven and a two-speed gearbox. Withdrawn 1956.

    No: 3. I think the number might be 58347 (not 53347). That would put it in the LNWR Webb "Coal Engine" series.
    No: 4 It is an LNWR "Cauliflower". Number looks like 58386 which would fit the series.

    Elementary my dear Watson!

    The G&FGF was held in Blackpool in both 1956 and 1961 (Guidebooks for sale on Amazon - and people say being a train fan is weird!) Don't know where it was held other years.
