Tornado looked rather splendid this afternoon, simmering away in the sunshine at Barton Hill .
The loco is a credit to the support team. Good luck tomorrow. <BJ>

There was a time we'd see regular updates on the weekly Torbay Express. Has interest gone off this tour now?!

Tornado hauling the Torbay Express reported through Bridgwater at 19:44.

Tornado looked really good this morning parked adjacent to Nunney Castle at Bristol TM. Not so sure about
the LED lighting at the back of the loco though, the full width of the tender, just above the buffer beam. <BJ>

There is so much steam about these days, and we should be grateful for that, that it no longer has the wow factor except for us die hard steam fans. Maybe regular weekly "routine" updates of weekly tours are not needed because we can all become bored. What is of interest to us all is when something extraordinary takes place. If that doesn't happen then there is not point in submitting postings for things such as "train passed Bridgwater at 1956". I was on last week's commemoration of the 44 years since the end of Southern Steam and there were numerous contributions that were reflecting "exceptional" performance.

When I read few postings about a tour, I presume that the tour is running without incident or any irregular event and I think that is how it should be, otherwise we will all become bored.

I think as well that the TE has moved away from the "enthusiast" market who are likely to be contributors . The Weymouth trains are picking up more coverage in thread terms at the moment

That was what I was getting more at with my post! It seems interest has moved away from this tour. A shame given the hard work put in by Andy State to make it a family day out . .

Does it really matter if the TE is getting much enthusiast coverage ? getting families to put bums on seats is what matters most to it's continual operations.

Unless you are waiting for the train further up the line, the rain is pouring down and you're wondering if the train is still running to time. <BJ>

I thought it was that little guy, forget his name, from Star Wars who did that as well.
