    Is it true the ex GWR Exminster box will now not be used at Broadway station and if so what ex GWR box will get built at Broadway.

    I understand that the old Exminster 'box will not now be used at Broadway as the Exminster structure is too big (it is a very impressive wooden signal box from the photos I've seen) and instead the replacement will be of similar size to the original signal box, also a wooden structure. A very similar signal box to Broadway was at Athelney. However, I'm sure that someone reading this thread can provide more information as I don't know what happened to the old Exminster signal box. The original Broadway signal box footings have already been excavated at Broadway. The site is quite restricted, the'box being located right next to the Broadway Road overbridge on the same side of the road as the goods shed. There should be an old photo of the Broadway Signal Box on one of the links.
    Meanwhile the stalwarts from the Broadway Area Group continue with their rebuild of the Broadway Station site. See attached links.
