On a road trip to the CVR and GCR Heritage railways on Sunday 17th July, tried a quick look in at the Loughborough engine shed. Could only look from the door, having missed one of their tours and was pushed for time to wait for the next one.
Inside the shed I could make out 78019 BR Standard class 2 and 63601 GCR Class 8k on the left hand side of the shed.
Centre was 4953 'PITCHFORD HALL' , couldn't see the number of the next engine in the line. Looked like a IVATT Class 2, behind this was 45491 LMS stainer class 5.
Right hand side was 46521 LMS IVATT Class 2 and 73156 BR Standard Class 5.
Does anyone know what the engine was between PITCHFORD HALL and 45491 class 5. Looking at my photos, it had greenish colour scheme, but could of been an undercoat. Have tried contacting the GCR but had no reply yet, not sure if I have sent my request to the right email contact address.
I have attached a photo, you can just make out the IVATT class, In the middle behind the blue stanchion.

    regards
    Albert

Well that throws a spanner in the works, what is the engine on the right hand side at the front with no boiler then. See attached photo.

Thanks Martin, if I had got inside the shed I would of seen the bigger picture. Instead of having to peer through doors and holes on the outside of the shed. Much appreciated.

Peak D123 is directly behind Pitchford Hall, having bodywork repairs and a repaint after its appearance on Top Gear last Sunday.

Didn't see D123 in there Michael, only steam engines. The line up was left had side 78019, 63601. Centre line 4953, 46521 tender, 45491. Right hand side 46521 engine with out boiler, 73156.

Definitely looks like an ivatt 2-6-0 to me and the other is unmistakeable to be 46521's tender too (has there been any other ivatt in green in preservation ?)

Shame you can't walk around Loughborough on your own any more. Apparently someone nicked something - and they knew what they were looking for.

How is Boscastle coming along is she still there?

Yes, it's a shame they had to close public assess to the shed - but fully understandable if specialist stuff had gone 'walkies'.

Boscastle is indeed in the shed and under repair. The owning syndicate has a website with details and the latest news update was on 10th June...
