Good shout. Peckett 2000, Wissington or No.49 would all be nice but my main request would be for decent size all line coal trains. There are so many shots away from the bank that never get done and, although last October was great, Whiston on two vans and a brake doesn't do much for me!

A 4F....along with Bagnalls they were the work horses of the North Staffs coalfield.

4F's were seen on plenty of colliery lines, even banked and double headed by NCB engines. It would break the 'industrials only' rule but Florence No.2 and a 4F together in the colliery would be rather nice. Might also attract some extra punters who can be converted to the industrial cause!

Also a Jinty in BR livery wouldn't be out of place. Plenty were hired to collieries. Or we could have Peckett 2000....

The idea is not lost, perchance it sleepeth.

Would be nice to catch up - dubs will out again in three weeks for those that are interested.

Will keep you posted - day job plans changed today , I have to spend a few weekends away. On plus side I can repack the slewing engine valve on Sunday so there are no outstanding jobs.

We had Castle Donnington no2 for our 21st Anniversary more years ago than i care to remember, both the Donnington engines were still in industry at the time - 22 years ago !!!!!!.

... Which means it's worked at Foxfield in service (sort of ), and would therefore make a very appropriate visitor!

I thought it was No.1 that came ? Fired it one trip when it steamed a little too well.
