Friday 5th to Sunday 7th August

The Spa Valley Diesel Gala next weekend features 37254 Driver Robin Prince MBE running as classmate 37153, complete with Transrail identification, plus freshly painted 33 063 and E6047 (73 140). This is the first diesel gala using the Eridge extension which gives cross platform interchange with Southern trains from London Bridge, plus a mile of parallel running. I am doing all I can to ensure my visit for the Saturday of this

 

Will there be any areas (such as loco sheds?) open for viewing that are normally closed during the Saturday of the event?

Also - is 33065 currently in a position where it could be photographed?

 

It is hoped to have access to the shed available, however if for any reason its not possible to have it generally open our volunteers will normally attempt to accompany a photographer to a safe viewing location on request. 33 065 is stabled just outside the shed, whilst class 10 Colonel Tomline which is in the final stages of overhaul is located inside
