    Its not the first, I have seen pictures off one at Medstead, when NR stored a stoneblower or somthing of the likes there :D

    Someone is playing clever word games, if you read the MHR Post, it doesn't say its the first to visit, but the first to travel the entire 10 miles of the line to Alresford.

    Out of curiosity, are they having some sort of open house at the RAF Base where the Chinooks are based, hence the visit by the 66?

    It was RAF Odiham's Families Day yesterday. It's just down the road from Alton. There was a suggestion elsewhere that the loco was being roaded to the event.

    The loco was indeed roaded to Odiham and parked on a section of track. Apparently ticking over so quietly as to be almost unheard.
