    Evening All,

Back in October 1963 the LCGB ran a railtour up part of the Great Central main line using the preserved L&SWR T9 class 4-4-0. If anyone's interested to have a look, I have just put a picture of it on my Flickr site; it's in the 'Stop Press!' collection in the Set dated 13th August :

It can also be found in the B.R. in Steam Days collection in the Set incorporation the Great Central : http://www.flickr.com/photos/train-pix/sets/72157626470992250/

I was on that tour! It was called "The Thames, Severn & Avon Railtour". It also featured 45552 "Silver Jubilee" up Lickey & through the old Birmingham NS. GWR 6368 & 2246 double headed & finally Castle 7005 "Sir Edward Elgar" which I think had steaming troubles on the return. I'm sure I have still got the programme somewhere.

Unfortunately the link only takes you to the Six Bells home page, not the tour page.

Many great options are available but please could someone correct me if I am wrong but did a previous thread say about T9 not going anywhere because of some sort of contract clause ?

Yes I am an active volunteer
30120 is not available for hire to other railways until September 2012 as part of the funding agreement that saw it return to steam.

When she does get allowed out to play , it will most likily be to the Bluebelle , Mid hants and Swanage first i would guess that either of these three would welcome her back as a working engine for a short visit does york have any plans for her to visit any railways? i would expect that at some stage they will want her at york and shilton

given that engines can now be towed in steam , i should imagine that it should be the cheapest way to transfer 30120 if she were to visit Swanage she could be towed to alton, and thense to east grinstead , wouldnt it be something if the first steam engine to run over full east grinstead to hk section was the T9 on its return to the bluebelle

Is the Bluebelle the extended Bluebell, with the e signifying it has reached East Grinstead?

It's the southern extension to Normandy. The 'e' is for entente cordiale :)

No I do not currently volunteer
I would guess that the NRM would let her visit other Railways like they've done with 3717 but Bodmin will be her main home like the GWSR is 3717's main home.

Personally I'd love to see her at the Bluebell again and even more in steam after the amount of times I saw her in the shed at Sheffield Park. It'd be great to see her back at her other 2 previous preservation bases especially Swanage which has grown a lot since she was last there.
