I hope that the recent track work (yesterday) between Aldershot and Alton hasn't affected the gauging of the 3 big visitors for the Autumn Gala. Looks like there has been quite a lot of track renewed.

Had some info. today which suggests there may also be another visitor coming in by the ML on a test run. It would be great if she made it..............

I like the Mid-Hants pricing policy, using the loco's number. Sir Nigel Gresley was £600.07, Britannia is £700. So you would have expected a GW loco to be cheaper, but KE1 was actually £975 ... on a Southern railway as well! So not much chance of driving Flying Scotsman for £44.72 then.

Would that mean the 9F would be £922.12

Has anything been said about whether 4492 will have the 2nd tender with her. Looking on the Swanage site she travelled there with it.

As the gala is getting closer, I wonder what kind of timetable will be run, could we possibly get the 'Tornado Timetable' from last years Spring gala, or, and more likely, the timetable from this years GW gala that seemed to work extremely well?.......................

Don’t forget this year’s gala will take place over the end of British Summer time and beginning of British Winter time. Should be a good weekend for anyone taking photos.
