Watching it at Wakefield Westgate yesterday morning, (Thursday), the loading looked "healthy". There seemed to be seats available but it had the York pick up to do.

 

I think there are still Woodlesford and Castleford pick ups too before York.

 

Anybody know what's hauling this next week? All the mentioned steam locos seem to be otherwise occupied or under repair.

 

I would've thought 44932, leaving 48151 for the Blaenau trip on Tuesday and the Fellsman on Wednesday. Bit risky having the same loco do 2 long distance trips in a row, but there aren't many other options available this week.

 

44932 this coming week and 70013 the week after.

 

Yes, thought the two trips was risky, however it is 44932, it brought The Waverley back to York last night.

 

70013 should be good!

 

Passed York at 1900 tonight; 44932 was in the servicing bay

 

where was the west coast cl37 going, travelled along the skipton - leeds line this afternoon, hope its not for the SSE

 

Apparently took 2 coaches to Carnforth and worked back LE.

Another change of plan. Seems 70013 will not now be working the final week of the SSEs. I would guess it's going to be 44932 again.

 

Called in at Kirkgate on Tuesday 23rd Aug 2011 and saw the Black Five for this week.

5305LA web site says Ollie will work the SSE next week after all. See http://www.5305la.org.uk/news.aspx?ID=320

 

It worked ok around 15 minutes ago Ralph. Possible they are presently updating again. The gist of it was that due to volunteers helping out with the new brick arch and washout that Ollie will be moving to York on the 29th. Also that due to this 5305 would work Saturdays CME.
