Would that be the blue Membership card or am I looking at the wrong thing? Sorry for being awkward!

Does anybody know if 828 has been turned, or is it going to be facing South as in the pics of it arriving.
    Thanks

It was facing north when it ran on a test train on tuesday. Later today I'm touring the stations and will post on here with which way all locos are facing.

    42968 - South
    46443 - North

There is a footbridge but it is not accessed via either the SVR or BR Car parks . I'm not sure of the walking route and would refer you to Multimap as the best way of finding

The footbridge is next to Aggborough Stadium, turn left out of the station & there is a pedestrian sign Aggborough 650 metres on the corner of the first road, it is an alley between the houses & industrial land.

Had a fantastic day at the SVR yesterday. This was my first trip to their gala on a Friday - I went then because of how full the trains were on Saturday last year, but trains were just as full at times yesterday! 828 was packed to the rafters on some trips and almost all services I was on (I travelled behind 60163, 6024 and 92212 on 'all-line' trains) were packed with standing-room only. Even local services behind 7812, 2857, 4566 (later replaced by 43106) and 4160 were well-filled. Despite a few disappointments in the build-up (loss of 6023 and 5029, late withdrawal of Britomart) there was so much going on all along the line. If anything was disappointing it was the fact that (unlike last year) Bridgnorth TMD was closed to the public.

Services had sensible dwell times which meant that at some stations you had time to get out and have a look around, and delays did not build up. On one train there was almost a disaster when a man attempted to leave the train whilst it was pulling away from what was (I think) a signal stop. Thankfully he did not come to significant harm, and despite being halted for 10 minutes we were back on time within two stops with no knock-on problems on the schedule.

I cannot think of any other railway than organises galas as well as the SVR - more power to their elbow!

Bridgnorth TMD was closed yesterday (Friday) as it was still a working day for the staff so therefore cant have the general public strolling around taking pictures whilst work is being carried out to make sure the locos work

A question perhaps for the 2012 organisers, perhaps the MPD should be closed for the Friday, to be open for visitors?

However given the propensity to unforseen repairs required, maybe keep the shed/works open for business. Didn't both 828 and 43106 require last-minute attention?

Walking round the shed during the recent " behind the scenes" event, there wasn't all that much to see, the Waterman 66xx, Taw Valley's frames and Dunrobin I think.

Oh, and the coupled wheels from...xxxx....
