As some people maybe aware, this year CVR are operating services up the recently re-opened Cauldon Lowe Branch roughly once a month. This will see 2 return trips a day from Froghall to Cauldon. June 4/5 sees the next of these dates.

On Saturday 4th June GWR Prairie 5199 will top and tail 5 coaches with 33021, with a DMU operating between Froghall and Leekbrook.
On Sunday 5th June the 104 DMU will work to Cauldon, with 5199 operating the normal CVR services.

This weekend also sees the Volunteer Open Days going on around the railway, and on Sunday only the Alf Tunstall Bus Rally.

Final weekend of Steam operation up Cauldon Lowe for 2011, with 5199 in action (TnT with 33021) on BOTH Saturday and Sunday.

A trip well worth doing, went there earlier in the year and loved it, the whole line is great and the climb up the Cauldon Lowe line is spectacular! Anyone considering going definitely should.

33021 supporting 5199 again this Sunday 16th October for the last planned CL trip of the season,

They get to do over 20 miles each (5199 leading from Kingsley & Froghall) on the two round trips, (and for 33021 its a good climb coming back out of the quarry.)
DMU running the CVR service in addition

Subject to loco availability as always....etc

Timetable is the blue train on here
