Alongside "Cecil Raikes" in store at Bootle is Mersey Docks and Harbour Board Avonside "Mersey class" No.1, not exhibited since Liverpool Museum closed for refurbishment several years ago.
Also in hiding somwhere at Crich is the remains of Oldham Tramways Beyer Peacock 0.4.0 steamtram, (ex Ince Forge, ex Dinting, and ex MOSI.) Im not sure of its full history!

I don't recall seeing a Sentinel at Yaxham either. There is an Austerity under restoration, an abandoned-looking narrow gauge steam engine buried in the brambles, and one of the ex-Castle Donnington 0-4-0ST locos in bits, from what I recall. There is a vertical boilered loco there but it's a Cockerill.

An old Mid Norfolk stock list gives the vertical boilered loco at Yaxham as Cockerill No. 2525 of 1907

You have also got another 4-4-0 5ft 3inch gauge loco in Ireland which while it is preserved has been left it peices for a long time.

GNR(I) Q class 4-4-0 No 131 is not a forgotten loco - she is safely undercover at the RPSI's base at Whitehead. The loco has passed through a number of custodians before moving to the RPSI in 2003/4 and being formally transferred to them in 2005. The RPSI plan to restore her in due course, but there are a number of locos ahead of her in the queue and she will be an expensive job, with many parts mislaid during her time at Mallow.
Unfortunately the steam preservation scene in Ireland is very much smaller than the UK mainland which means that there really is no point in restoring many locos for the mainline when the RPSI can really only make use of 2/3.

Can't help with all of these, but 2859 is for sale (and has been for quite a while) Belongs to a group based at Llangollen who also own a small prairie, I think, and are wanting to focus on this engine.
4253 was bought by a group based at the Kent & East Sussex Railway. The owning group has created a website http://www.4253.co.uk/ which tells you about progress so far. Looks like a lengthy restoration project, but give it a few years and an unlikely but exciting loco will be showing how to flatten Tenterden Bank!

3862 has a website - http://www.3862.com - but the most recent information is from 2000.

2873 is has an out of date page at http://southdevonrailwayassociation.org/2873.html . The boiler is now on 3803 (what happened to the boiler that was on 3803 at Barry?).

One is the GWRPG at Southall 4110 I think and the other is owned by the owner of 4141 and 4953 . I also have a feeling it maybe on the market . Must get my Euromillions ticket. Main line big prairie on the North Warwicks , alongside three Castles , Two Halls and Two Panniers . What a Plamdampf that would be ! (Note to self ... stop dreaming)

What about that Aussie steam loco up at Tanfield? (Apologies if it has already been brought up I couldn't remember it being brought up!).

As for Thornbury castle it is such a shame she is still sitting there in such poor condition... she'd be my Euromillions restoration. Who owns her?

re 7027 - Waterman Railways Trust I think

She was supposed to be the next to steam after 7029 and instead 5080 took her place (having been bought for spares) . She was then sold and 5043 (the other spares engine) became the 3rd Tyseley Castle .

She is also the only three row superheater castle surviving , one of Worcester's finest and given the superb work done by Tys on Castles , I can't help but wish she was still there .

I suspect 7027 is a rainy day project... problem is their's plenty of other work to keep the fun shining !

It would be brilliant to see 7027 restored and in a line up with all the other surviving Castles..(I know this would obviously be a tad difficult with 4073 not in an easy position to move, same with some of the others...I'll keep dreaming.. :D) I'm sure its time will come eventually!
Another loco that has been forgotten is Agecroft No.3 which has been in pieces at STEAM Museum in Swindon for years..originally intended to be restored and done up as a Swansea docks loco in GWR livery to run on the permanent demo line at the museum which never came to fruition. Would be good to see her restored eventually, I know the boiler has been taken away but as yet it hasn't had much work done to it.
