I'm struggling to understand why you would think that?
The original Moel Tryfan ran for years without attempting to straighten out any curves - why?
Because it was an articulated Fairlie design like the FRs Taliesin!

Did moel tyfans power bogie swivel or was it just the rear bogie?

What other parts survive like dials, gauges parts etc ?

    1) 2x Rear wheel sets which are now on Linda and Blanche

    2) An air receiver tank

    3) The rear bogie frame

    4) a side sheet off one of the side tanks

MT, Snowdon Ranger and Gowrie's power bogies all swivelled. If they hadn't, they wouldn't have been Fairlies.

I guess that beddgelert was a ridged type of frame rather than a swiveller lol

It's been suggested that the handbrake stanchion used on Tal may have come off MT/SR.

    Very Interesting......

Ive seen a picture in one of the books which shows the last picture of Moel Tryfan at harbour station during its cutting up, must of been a sad sight to be there and see its. did its cab and water tanks get scrapped at the same time as the boiler, frames and wheels

Dobut it because it was all in aid of restoring the Ffestiniog Railway, and they were probably really excited by that.

Do you mean the picture with about five or six excited local kids hitching a ride on The Simplex as it shunts the chassis and and boiler?

I think that's the one but I can't remember which book it's it, I will have to have a route through the library at my local model railway club.
