Swanage Railway will be running its standard low season timetable this weekend with no.34028 'Eddystone' on service trains.
Also in action will be D6515 on Saturday on a 2 coach ETH set (This is a private loco owners charter)

On Sunday 34028 will be on the service train, 6695 will be on a charter train for its owners and 80104 will be on our freight train for the driver experience train.
Loads of opportunity to see plenty of action this weekend at Swanage!

And great fun it was too.

Its nice to see the wagons out on such a regular basis; are there any other railways where your driver experience gives you the opportunity to drive a freight?

It was indeed good to see 80104 on the freight on Sunday 6th, while riding behind 6695.

Like the Swanage, the WSR also uses its freight vehicles for some footplate courses. One course even does some shunting, setting down and picking up wagons at intermediate yards (Williton and Washford), just like the traditional pick-up goods workings of old.

I'm afraid I don't have any, but as the fireman of '104 on Sunday I'd be interested to see any that people do have.

No I do not currently volunteer
In fact 33048 was on freight driver experience last Saturday on WSR.
