    Going by the news from Manchester, it looks like the MOSI is to join the Science Museum.
    Does this mean that Antony Coulls might now have to split his time 3 ways instead of 2?

    I imagine there would be more links with the Science museum as well given MoSIs collection.

    MOSI are still looking into the possibility of merging under the NMSI umbrella. This should all be good news, especially as it would be good to forge even closer links between Liverpool Road and York!

    As for rolling stock moves, thats abit early to speculate, however, while L&Y 1008 is very tempting, there is no current space at MOSI for further rolling stock to be displayed indoors. The NRM replica "Rocket" has visited MOSI on several occasions, lastly in September 2010, and plans were afoot to re-patriate the 1930 RSH built "Henry Ford" replica "Rocket", currently in the Science and Industry museum, Chicago, for display at MOSI. Sadly, costs were prohibitive and it remains in the USA.

    Watch this space (and the press) for further news about the Science Museum/MOSI merger.
