GWR 42 52 72 shouldnt be too hard to produce tooling that can be used on both the 2 8 0 and 2 8 2 these tank locomotives seem to be the biggest gap in the GWR catalogue
    Stanier Mogul
Revamped Dean goods, 61xx,14xx, manor, mogul, please although there might not be a huge market for them
The Hornby king although far better than it ever was could do with the Castle treatment

I hadn't given any thoughts to re-numberings of current models when I made the original post, but I would like to see:

    1. 35013 'Blue Funnel Certum Pete Finem' (as my great uncle was bombed on the Blue Funnel ship MV Deucalion during Operation Pedestal. He survived.)

    2. 34018 'Axminster'

    3. 34090 'Sir Eustace Missenden - Southern Railway' (I know what you're thinking, but I'd like to have the rebuilt version on my layout without having to pay over the odds for a custom-made example, or ruin a perfectly good locomoitve by doing it myself)

An Aberdare please, or a 72xx. Given the predeliction of things NRM, how about a Taff Vale 01?

    Wouldn't mind a Midland 1F, or its 044 cousin

Did you know that Kernow Model Centre have commissioned Bachmann to produce the class 205 DEMU?

Oh, dear, and there was me fussing about the overly-conical chimney on the Beattie Well Tank. That 'industrial' is without doubt the most abysmal excuse for a locomotive release I've seen for a while. No effort has gone into making it look anything like what it is meant to be.

Well I know I said I'd be buying a couple..... Hmmm! The only real use I can see for it would be the chassis, I might be able to pair that with a heavily modified body from a completely different loco and make a half-convincing freelance industrial!

I sincerely hope this doesn't evolve into a "Well, someone made a RTR industrial and nobody bought it, so we won't bother trying" train of thought :(

Interesting for all those Callington Branch modellers out there. Match them with a Maunsell composite, and you have an almost prototypical train. Would look rather nice behind (or in front of in the reverse direction) my M7. The only thing is, I'm also interested in their O2... Choices, choices!

Out of interest regarding the LSWR 'Gate' stock, how long did the Carmine/Crimson sets last in that livery? Were there any that lasted into 1961, or were they withdrawn before then? I ask as if I do decide to eventually fork out for a set, I wouldn't mind one in Carmine/Crimson or however you describe the colour to add a bit of variety amongst my predominantly green carriages.

The model is due for release in June 2012 and at a pre-order price of just £49.99

50 quid for something that looks like a Hornby 0-4-0 toy rescued out of a skip ?!
