    Hi all
Not a new film, I grant you, but I was watching it again a few days ago and was wondering if anyone knows which railway the Royal Train and Frothington on the Waddle sequences were filmed on?
Going by the GWR 0-4-2 tank and 0-6-0 tender engines used, I'm thinking South Devon Railway, but not sure. Can anyone confirm or correct?

    Thanks

According to "Horton's Guide to Britain's Railways in Feature Films", both the South Devon and the Torbay line were used. Buckfastleigh was used as "Frothington" and Kingswear as "Buckingham Palace" stations. (For those who don't know the film it is a satire on the way Hollywood distorts war stories!)

Battle scenes took place at Buckfastleigh and Bishop's Bridge on the S Devon railway.

One of the worst films I think I have ever seen, Nearly 2 hours of my life I will never get back.

Some examples of things I would rather do than watch it again...

1-feed one of my hands into a food blender
    2-Stand on a rake
3-Wash my eyes out with vinegar.

    Yes it is that bad.
