    "Mixed Traction Weekend
    Saturday 30th April - Monday 2nd May 2011
    Although subject to confirmation, we are hoping to hold a Mixed Traction weekend featuring Steam engines and Diesels on a variety of services including Stately Trains and goods trains. When more details are available, they will feature here!"

    Anyone from Embsay able to provide any more info please? Such as is the event actually going ahead?

    Ive been searching the internet for confirmation, details etc but can't find any more, Sorry. I was gonna go but can't make it as i'm going to the Nymr Gala sometime that weekend.

    Branchline Weekend: Mixed Traction Weekend

    Saturday 5th - Monday 7th May 2012

    A Branchline Weekend / Mixed traction gala is in the advanced stages of planning for the May Day Bank Holiday weekend. It will feature a total of 5 locomotives (subject to availability) from the steam and diesel fleets and will see trains running every thirty minutes from both stations. Directors Saloons will be attached to the passenger trains, the Stately Trains 6-wheelers will be in service, and goods trains will be run.

    The basic timetable will be published here in the next month (it has been written), but the detailed timetable will only be available with the tickets. Tickets can be bought online for this event.

    Looks promising.
